An intel quad core and an Asus mobo? DDR2 is literally as cheap as chips at the moment - I'd recommend max-ing out the board :thumbl:

Maybe something like this (mobo): hxxp://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-265-AS&groupid=701&catid=5&subcat=1057

...this (CPU): hxxp://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CP-203-IN&groupid=701&catid=6&subcat=567

...or this as a cheaper option (CPU): hxxp://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CP-161-IN&groupid=701&catid=6&subcat=567

...and this (8GB RAM): hxxp://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=BU-000-KS&groupid=701&catid=8&subcat=817

AMD will be a lot cheaper, with Phenom II being reported as a decent chip :thumbr:

That looks great:)

Question: A Intel Core 2 Quad (Yorkfield) Model Q8200S (2.33GHz)
Quad Core, EM64T, 1333FSB, 4MB Cache (LGA775), Low Power, BOX would that be ok instead with the same mb?

The place where im going to buy it dont have the Intel Core 2 Quad Pro Q6600

i woudnt get that tbh - the i7 is miles better and not much more
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showprodu ... ubcat=1272

not that theres anything wrong with beefys - its just your doing a complete refresh

somert like that is better for gaming - 8GB ram is nice but 4GB will never be used
