My current 33" CRT TV has sort of packed up, as soon as it warms up it goes pop and switches itself off. If I stick a fan behind it blowing air its fine, although not exactly safe. Anyone know anything about these things? I hoovered all the dust out but its still doing it.

Anyway if I can't fix it I'm either thinking of the Samsung 40" LE40B530-P7 £499, the 37" Samsung LE37B550A5W £529 or the 37" Panasonic Viera TX-L37U10B £599. These are John Lewis prices as they offer a 5 year guarantee in the price which seems a pretty good deal. Anyone know any better or worse makes or are all the main stream brands pretty similar now. I'm thinking about a 37" cause don't really need a 40".

DO NOT BUY any tv with a hd ready symbol.

Get a full hd or you are wasting your time
