I'm thinking of getting 1gb more of RAM for my motherboard and wondering what the best option would be.
http://www.crucial.com/uk/store/listmodule.asp?family=DDR&tabid=DDR+PC2700
would it be best to go for 2 sticks of 512, or a single 1gb stick?
I have two slots available with 2 filled with 2x512mb crucial which para reccommended me and I'm extremely happy with.
Thought I might go for the same again (if I can remember which model it was )
Any ideas?

I would always go for the 2 x 512mb option since if you have a failure, it is not as expensive
Nice MOBO btw

problems could arise that running 4 sticks of memory is more strenuous than 2 so therefore your CPU would scale down the RAM speed accordingly. (or not work at all).
Also you'd want PC3200.
I would go for 2 more 512s rather than another 1Gb, but I would go with 2x 1Gb over both previous options.

PC 3200DDR333 doesn't actually exist, PC2700 is DDR333.
Running PC2700 on 200 MHz HTT A64 doesn't really hurt performance much, just a few percent.

You're okay on the older chips if you can get your hands on single-sided sticks Still searching

theoretically.
I had problems with 4x512 on a venice, which is also specified to be able todo it... so I guess it's a gamble.
