There is so much info on suse installed with the os, books are a bit redundant, however I did buy a suse book once and it was nice and portable. I'll post again when I get home and find out what it was, that was for suse 9.2 though and maybe out of date.

umm....how to use it

i've got it sitting on my laptop and i'm not quite sure how to use it at all further than (very) basic use. (the console scares me)

i only say because i noteiced theres a book specific to the OS i'm using as opposed to generic linux

I'm finding this to be rather useful:

UNIX Made Easy, John Muster, 3rd Ed., ISBN 0-07-219314-X

hxxp://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/007219314X/qid=1145203090/sr=8-5/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i5_xgl/202-7718954-7763830

Lots of practical examples to work through and takes account of variations between shells, UNIX/LINUX, etc.
