basicly i been having this problem on and off for ages...

i have a netgear router DG834G

when i first got it i never had any problems...
then about 2 months down the line it started messing around.....
then it stopped for ages and now its started again

basicly...... Image

the light thats circled is my conection..if thats not on i dont have a connection...for some reason and it only happens when im playing a game....... it turns off and then on again after about 1 second....so i lose my connection to the game and anything else connected to the net.

i updated it last week....iv reset it....iv reformatted my pc..iv done allsorts and it keeps doing it....i dont know what i did (if i did anything)last time and it started working fine....

like i said the main thing is it only happens when im playing a game...never when im just on the net or msn

50/50 choice, router or Exchange problem....

you'll be quicker returning the router as a way of proving it :)

It just connects my computer and the other one to my ntl cable modem, through the use of ethernet cables.

im sure it happens while your browsing..the only difference is you wouoldnt notice....because the chances are that during the exact second it goes off...you wont be loading a new page. So you dont notice.

If you have a warranty, get it exchanged asap

well iv had the router for ages now and i dont think i have the receipt anymore so it looks like ill have to go out and get another 1

what i dont get tho is it was fine for about 6months....when i first got it i thought it was because it wasnt set up proply....

i can do everythin except play games online......it doesnt happen as often when im playing css but it when i play BF2 it will be fine for about 20mins and then every 5mins after that it will keep going off untill i quit the game

and it doent happen when i play Track mania....could it be the ammount of info its trying to send is causing it to crash

but its fine when i download
