Sometimes this could be to do with heat problems with your case....after five mintues the gfx card/ memory/ cpu may be too hot and become unstable.
Just make sure you've got a good airflow going through your case, and clean out any dust off the fans. Dont use a hoover though, as this creates static electricity.
However I use a hoover, because im hardcore (or lazy )
What kind of crash is it? computer turns off? looping sound crash? crash to desktop? graphics go crazy? Might give a clue to the problem

if it a heat problem, then no
as you said in your top post windows is fine
download these to check internal temps
htXtp://www.almico.com/speedfan.php
IF its an asus mobo try this too
htXtp://www.majorgeeks.com/download3301.html
also check gfx card temps too
post your results, that way we have a better understanding of your problem
p.s. have you changed anything lately?? cables?

Most Probablly yeah, what are the actual Temps?
I dont think theres an NV silencer out for that card
Maybe Zalman would be the better bet
