that is a bit hot there :?

anyhow i suffer pretty much the same, as its very warm where my pc is located due to the hot weather some of us are having (there are no cool places in this house)

i have 2x12cm fans front and rear
3 x 80cm case fans - 2 side cooling the mobo and graphics card & 1 for hdd
Arctic Cooling freezer64 pro for cpu

and................

from the original hsf, i dismantled it and used the fan, so now i have

4 x 80cm internal fans

and the case temp is currently 31'C cpu 4400x2 is 36'c

the room temp is 26'c (windows open and a fan blowing  )

oh and the time is 23:51

As I type this my fan is extremely loud :(

I've cleaned out any dust, yet it continues to make a huge racket.

The back is quite close to the wall...

Is that the reason as to the loudness? Or might there be others?

could be, due to the restriction of airflow or even tighten the screws, it could be vibration, resonance

not much of an intel person these days, so forgive my n00bness, if this fits yours it costs around £20

htxtp://www.arctic-cooling.com/cpu2.php?idx=79&disc=

it actually cools the cpu 19'C lower than the standard hsf

i have one on my cpu and tbh it would scare the crap out of me with regards cpu temps if i didnt have one

Dr.Strangelove - always going on about fans

ps. got the info from CustomPC mag, they did a lab test with cpu coolers (march '06 issue)
