Now, i've done this my self and seen it done three times....

With the monitor on...

flick the screen quite hard with the flat of your finger nail (where the dead pixel is)

Yes i didnt believe it either but ive seen it work 3 times on different monitors....

good luck

what does this achieve ? more dead pixels or reserrrect the dead one ?

clearly his nail is called jesus

Is something to do with how the fluresant material is laid onto the surface of the monitor and the electrical connection between it, as far as im aware it like having a slightly sticky pane of plastic with a slivered back that has fallen off, by flexing the plastic it touches the bubbled silvered "foil" which resticks to the suface of the plastic

.....

Good luck with that, like someone said they may have hidden rules about pixels and where they are but nothing changes the law and this should let you get a full refund on anything. It's all an matter of timing. Not sure exactly what the law is though, best check.

Given that I'd booked the courier collection four hours after I received it, timing should not be an issue :P
