awww i read a thread about this Years ago on the overclockers uk forum, this guy had some ''classifeid information'' on his hard drive and wanted to know how he could get rid of it without hackers being able to get the info back, there were some crazy ideas,

Connect two electrodes to it, and put a very high votage through the entire thing. Then use a strong magent on it. Then a strong acid to melt it. What remains can be smashed with a mallet, then melt the smashed up bits in a forge

A) It wil be crushed intoa fine paste.
B) No one could ever retrieve it with todays, and probably tomorrows technology.
