Ive been wanting to record a game and maybe make a video some time, i started using Fraps but i noticed it was really laggy whenever i played it back.
Does anybody know how to fix this?
Or are there any alternative programs out there that are better?

You need to bring up the console and type
record filename
obviously replace filename with whatever you want to call it, then when you're done type stop into the console.
If you dont have the console enabled, goto keyboard options>Advance and then tick the box to enable console when you press the " ` " button.

Mm, but that's very limited - i.e. servers may have freelook disabled etc, so you only see it from your point of view.
Are you thinking of doing what Ezer did?

Hmmm i need to know what compression methods he used...or something similar.
I played the DEM file and used fraps to record it while it was on.
Afterwards the file size is huge about 130mb and when i add music and stuff and compress it its about 60mb.
But thats for a 34 second long video.
Any tips? (Using premier pro 7.0 btw)

BTW, you can move the camera around once you've recorded the demo. Well I think you can, I'm not sure :p
