over the last week, i have a little side project whereby i have managed to accumulate some pc's from a company who want me to sell them because they don't know what to do or how to do it etc. They are very old pc's, mostly around 300-500mhz processors, 5gb hd, 64-128 ram, but i can probly sell them all on for about £15 - 20 with software on for people in need of the basic pc.

I have come across a computer where i need to get past the password prompt at boot.

At boot, the Hard disk boots first, not the floppy or CD rom, therefore i can't boot a windows installation cd. The only way to fix this would be to access the bios and then change that, problem is that it it asks for a password to get past the bios...

how do i get around this problem? :?:

a) try and hack the password out in windows.
b) take out the cmos battery or move the jumpers across to wipe the bios (and therefore tha password but all the other settings too).

:D
