Any clues on whats going on? it's fine once the pc has been on for a short while

pc is still loading up a process? , ctrl alt del after starting and c whats eating your cpu cycles
you can use msconfig in the run box, then you can then unclick items in startup to try and find out whats doing it.

Done all that already to try to sort it out, plus I tried using one of them registry doctor thingies to try to clean that up incase that was the problem.

Really bugging me, cos you try pressing the button for stuff 2 or 3 times thinking that it didnt work, try a different program to see if that's working.
Then a couple of mins later the whole screen just suddenly whirrs into action and all the programs start up at the same time, 5 x firefox etc....

All well and good if you have the original XP disks, mines preinstalled by mesh computers and i'd rather not have to go through all that crap.
