Post Posted: Sun Jul 30, 2006 12:21 pm
Right I would like to buy a new graphics card, but I havn't the foggiest of which one :?

Ideally, I'd like it to be below £250.

Also, it has to be AGP.

If anyone could point me in the right direction that would be great :)

Thanks.

Was speaking to a mate of mine last nite, told me not to even consider buying a new graphics card till vista comes out with directx10.
Says his company is getting paid by microsoft to make games primarily vista friendly, XP etc... comes in a lowly 2nd place to them.
So basically, i've been told to wait till vista comes out with the next gen graphics cards before upgrading.

That's what I am doing, although the vista ship dates have been pushed back by nearly a year now!

Yeah, should run vista fine, only problem is when it comes to games, you will need a direct x 10 compatible card, which is what they are making games for now. Isn't that crysis thing dx10?
