I'm Jeff, and I have an Ebay problem.

It started off this morning as a quick search for a game i quite liked a few years ago - Warhammer Quest. Games Workshop don't make it anymore and it's a good laugh.

So i bid £30 for it, and i was high bidder, yay me.

Then it began. Some *censored for several lines* out bid me. After a few hours i'm buying a £90 board game, and there's four days left to go.

Anyone have a cure for competitive bidding? or other stories of Ebay obssession?

bid a reasonable price at around 5 seconds before the end :)

I have won a bid at 1 second left by using the pc clock to calculate exactly when its going to finish

You’ve come to the right place. Auction Sniper is an eBay sniper that automates the process of placing your eBay bid in the closing seconds of any eBay bidding auction, dramatically increasing your chance of winning. We keep it simple: you tell us what you want to win, and we snipe eBay for you. Best of all, Auction Sniper is free to try. After winning your first auction with our help, you’ll never eBay bid the same way again.

I use it all the time... :) You just have to put in the maximum amount you want spend.

Feckers that used the auction sniper used to annoy the feck out of me....you'd be poised over the enter key with 30 seconds to go and you'd think ' yay-I won!' then some cnut with sniper would get in there for a penny more.......b@st@rds..

Of course, I'm one of them now!

:D

I have a bad one

An auction was coming off today for a gearbox for the misses and cant seem to find one anywhere as they all want too much cash...

ffs i know what they are worth as my brothers owns a breakers yard...

ANyway i found one on ebay and called the guy up, hey presto the right one and he will gaurentee it and it was just down the road so i could pick it up...

The auction finishes just before lunchtime, so i think te night before, ill pop a starting bid in and a high bid, unless i dont wake up...

So the mext morning i wake up a good hour before the auction is about to end.....

AND GUESS WHAT....

NO FECKING ELECTRIC - we have had a power cut (just my street ffs)

So i tr t phone the misses and tell her to bid on it, BUT she is in a fecking meeting - could i get hold of anyone...............NO!!

anyway i managed to get dressed and head for the library missed it by 5mins and was outbid by a fecking pound!!!!

I have been waiting 2 months for a gearbox - the search continues
