Mags... you say 2mb tiscali..
Well heres some info, your not bloody alone.
Me and my mate are both getting bad pings.
Tiscali say its not them told me it was my router(wired) or my bt landline connection. when it is then... you do get the odd day its ok or try like at 1 30 in the morning when no one is on the server usualy works then mate lol

Aw right, tehy have been good for the past 2 years... am suppose to be getting upgraded to 8mb, aw well off to tell teh mother to get her finger out and change...

yeah the thing is until now ive had absolutely no problem what so ever
The other day my router went a bit dodgy so i had to reset it and it removed all my configuration settings, we phoned tiscali. and got the correct setttings and input them.
since then its been a bit dodgy. does this change anything?

don't listen to them my settings are what tiscali want.. use the website and follow..
I havnt been on cs for almost 2 weeks properly

exactly.. and i thought i might have just needed a new router. but that 3 people i know that are having slow connections.
I know they are doing alot of upgrading just now.. but this is just silly

yeah, ive noticed something else aswell. on CSS when my game appears frozen. like i said i can look around but i noticed i can hear people talking on the mic. but nothing else moves apart from me being able to look around.

thats the game's response to you losing connection
it's trying to calculate where you should be (establish a connection if you d.c. / lost connection)
sometimes you might notice that when people time out, they become invinsible sometimes, like no matter how often you shoot them in the head they simply won't die, it's very annoying sometimes since you can give up, then when they reconnect pop u in the back

right ive spoken to parents. if we cant sort things out with tiscali, they are willing to change ISP.
the best ive seen around for my area so far is pipex. i can get upto 7mb, 24.99 for unlimited. with 448kbps upload speeds. anyone heard if pipex are any good. or know if there are any better deals out there?
