so is there anyway to stop these pop ups happening? without paying for a scan or having to re-formatt, does anyone know were i can get a free scan and be able to delete these spyware/mallware things...

help would be much appreciated :)

right i tried http://www.prevx.com and apparently i had 7 mallware problems that have now been 'jailed' and can not be touched, also the status of it is green (which i think means good) where as before those mallware things were jailed it was red..

thanks for all the help..

edit: its definately worked because my internet explorer homepage has gona back to msn homepage and not a advertisment for spyware scan :D :D :D

You could try this:

http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html

It may help as much as a virus checker. Note note all you have spywre messages mean you do, some sites just say that to get you to buy their products.

Ad-Aware's always worked well for me, used to use SpyBot as well sometimes to remove stuff that Ad-Aware missed. Between the two they usually clear up pretty much all unwanted stuff.
