ok so i got an e-mail from komplett saying
Thank you for your order.

Quote:
Order reason: A_Replacement for returned product
Replacement for returned product, RMA xxxxxxx.
The returned
product was defective in accordance with the error message

Second email also arrived shortly after saying

Shipping confirmation- address etc

but to be honest i have lost confidence in the board after reading the reviews and forums and feel as though the replacement one will have the same problems as the last one (or will do after a period of time)

is there nothing that i can do to get a refund instead?

other people have claimed that ABIT are denying any responsibility for the board having problems (usb lock ups, rising pcie voltages, random restarts, lockups + random other problems with other people)

I reckon a lot of people will say get a better PSU etc.. (mine should be ok - not brilliant - but ok)

(antec 450 watt smart power 2) - i'm not denying this could be a potential reason, but i doubt it is my case, since everyone else with problems has also had 550 wat psu's etc...

thus almost proving it to be a bad board

so whats your advice??
assuming they have already shipped the replacement board... :/
and their customer support is a little rubbish, if i did it by e-mail it may be too late anyway

1)

shall i go ahead and test the new board and hope for the best? and hope it doesn't break (or have the same inherent problems as the prior board that are believed to be unable to be fixed by a new bios release after 15 attempts already of writing a bios

2)

try and get in contact asap and demand a refund? Is this even possible??
problem with this is that they have shipped a new board.. which might be an issue...

3)
or am i screwed over if the board has the same problems? unable to refund? (bought the board over 2 months ago now)

one things for sure, i'm not going to keep on RMA'ing it because the board sux...

which may mean I either live with the bad board, or sell the old one on ebay or something, fork out for a new one (which i don't feel comfortable doing because it's my dads money)

Well, you could sell the new one they ship to you on ebay, as its in new condition youd get the "new" price for it. Then buy another board?

you can ask for a different board of the same value if this one doesn't work
