Ok, it's a PSU question... ThermalTake any good? Was looking at this

htxtp://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/spe ... l?TT-W0101

Also... I found this...

http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/spec ... -79gto&P=1

To be honest... I'm not sure if that card has missing info or just DAMNED CHEAP O.O! (Check it's specs)

Well ThermalTake are good, but I recommend Enermax.

And that Card isnt that cheap...It's the normal price for the MSI 7900 GTO, which I wouldnt recommend. :D

Yea and you can get a 7950 512mb for around that price from http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/7900_Series.html

Trick is to look around a little more, but Novatech usaully does have pretty much good prices, maybe a couple quid more than the rest but the service is good..

The "OcUK Galaxy GeForce 7950 GT OC SILENT 512MB GDDR3 HDTV/HDCP/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail (GX-044-OK)" looks decent and for a fair price in my range too.

htxtp://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog ... eries.html

But what is the feedback on OcUK products?

ocuk generaly good, usually exchange dodgy goods with minimum fuss as they expect stuff to be overclocked etc. But they do test returns, which can take time and stops too many peeps taking the urine. http://www.novatech = very good value for money, especially if you live close ;)

ps excuse drunken spelling

Still I recommend getting the ATi (Or should that be AMD) X1900 XT 512Mb...As it beats the 7950 in most things... :D

Yeah, but ATi drivers tend not to be as stable as the nVidia cards from what I've heard.

Suppose you could call me a nVidia freak. Meh. I know that nVidia are good from past experience... but ATi do seem to be on the rise. I'm just going by feed back I've had from people I know.

On the PSU note, I wouldn't touch Thermaltake with a pooey stick.

I heard Ernemax is good. But I can see the prices are set quite high for a 500 watt PSU from them. Haven't looked at the Seasonics yet.

Just been looking at this and it's done it's job to impress me, but does it impress you?

Dont bother with the ATI, there are benchmark stats on DailyTech showing that the new G80 chipset 8800GTX card pwns the X1950 XTX by anywhere from 52% - 92%, depending on which test it is.

On the PSU front I bought a Hiper 580w type R which has been steady as a rock since I recieved it. It is true what they say though, you get what you pay for, so dont be cheap and get your wallet out! :D
