My sound card cant really power my headphones that loud (onboard ftl), so i looked around to see what I could do, and ended up making myself a Cmoy headphone amp:

People use them for lots of stuff, not just PC's, its mainly for a Ipods etc..
The sound is actually really nice, although on mine it does get a bit distorted at v. high volumes. It basically turns my sennheister headphones into speakers that you can hear from across the room lol.
Pretty simple to make yourself (compared to other electronics projects), or you can buy them on ebay, but that gets rid of the fun
Anyway, the tutorials are for US resisdents, although they do give part lists for the UK, some are out of date etc
I got my parts from RS, if anyone needs to know what cat. numbers, just PM me or something..
