I'd wait until Vista and directX 10 thingy have been done.
Furthermore, ditch that ASUSRock rubbish. Either go ASUS or another make highly recommended by others.
I'd also research how much power is supplied on the 12V rails from the power supply, and check out how much the GFX cards chew up too. Cheap 500W PSU's may have a high output, but not a high sustainable output (ie high peak, which isn't much use). Ask on manufacturers forums or hardware sites as to how much power those sorts of cards use, and indeed - about your proposed setup. Get some input from folks who are anally retentive about these sorts of things
The one thing i wouldn't stint on is that Mobo mate, get a great mobo and then the rest can be incrementally built up.

Blue's good except that RAM won't be compatible, so you'll still need to buy some new stuff.

Brand of PSU doesnt really matter too much. Better brands like Antec are just more stable for overclocking.

Yes very true.
Enermax 600W Noisetaker FTW, SLI compliant too (had mine over a year now and not even got SLI yet).

currently i have a 7900gt and a amd64 3700, thing is in 12 months time when i sell them i wont get anywhere as much as i am now.
i know i prob sudnt upgrade, but i dont know why but i really do love getting all the new tech and building it to see what new stuff like, knowing me ill replace the 8800gtx when the 8900gtx come out, lol
thanks for advice, youve now made me unsure on upgrading, lol. still think ill go blue.
