Post subject: Thinking about a new CPU

I've got an AM2 socket, and was looking at dual cores. Dont really want to spend anymore than £130. Retail is better than OEM, as I would like the warranty.

I was looking at this 4200 on ebay: click

Or should I be looking at a 4400? They seem to be a lot more popular.

Yeah, I was going to say I'd be sticking with AMD, but then I'd be accused of being a AMD fanboi :P

I like my motherboard, its shiny and has a nvidia chipset. Im not ready to sell it for a long time, possibly a year.

So. Is that ebay deal good? I cant find it cheaper anwhere else. If the 4200 is the 2.2GHz (but dual core :D) and my current single core 3800 is at 2.4, will there be noticable differences? Is it like running at 4.4 if a program uses both cores?
