this started happening yesterday evening while steam was down and still persists now.
every time i try to start steam :

i used to get this occasionally but a simple 'retry' fixed it.
steam support hasn't been much help.

all suggestions welcome.

remove hax, reboot = sorted ;)








alternatively delete and re-install steam?
