sites like megaupload and rapidshare always say that I either have an invalid download session or my IP has just downloaded some vast amount of data when I havnt been to the site in weeks.
It happens every time I go there.
Why is this and how can I fix it?

Don't use them yourself, they suck ass, use fileden - it works.
As for actually sorting out the problem - haven't a clue

Have you got wireless?
Possibly someone's using it, even if you have it secure they can still break it if they know how to.

its your isp`s proxys , if i look at a site on port 80 it says im a proxy server in manchester ntl - all manchesters ntl web traffic is routed through it hence the problem you describe

as for fixing it look for some open proxys on google and just use one for hte download

Every now and again rapidshare give away free premium accounts
this site tells u how to find out when that happens

Btw everyone on NTL will expierience the same problem as seric, If you are on TW cable you will be fine though. It just the way NTL force everyone to use transparent proxies, whether you like it or not.
