 Post subject: anyone recommend a free internet security like AVG

my avg is about to finish soon,,did get a free macafee with sky but didnt like it the last time i had it,i liked avg but free edition finishes soon,,anyone know a good free internet security,,thanks

my uni has a free one, i'll try it myself when my AVG runs out, will send if it isn't krap and wont make u verify yourself as part of the uni.

thanks slappy,,i didnt realise (dont understand why SKY gave me a free macafee for a year then),,thanks for link,,i do have ad-adware but for some reason i get an error saying it cant retrieve updates,,not sure if it is since change of isp or new wireless printer,,thanks again,, :lol:

I had that error last night, it fixed itself later on, altho I may have done an online virus scan first (BitDefender), can't remember.
Anyway, AVG free still exists, just a new version I think: http://free.grisoft.com/doc/1

AVG free edition and Spyware Doctor
Everyone knows AVG but Spyware Doctor was fine until it started just scans but like just crashes on me now and i dont understand why
