Does anyone know of a piece of software that will count my FPS when im running a game on my p.c, its the cnc3 demo i wanna know if its killing my p.c or not. i know alot of games have a console build in that will show FPS but i wanted some external software

whats wrong with the built in performance monitor? its most likely to be accurate and also will not reduce performance (like running fraps in parallel will)

the build in performance monitor doesnt give FPS does it? i only wanna know how my gpu is doing the rest of my system is fine.

ive ran fraps and used 'cl_showfps 1'' (i think) and they both show the same fps.

Most (if not all) games have a build in FPS indicator. It's just a mater of entering the command to activate it via console.
