At the moment i have some standard 120mm input and output fans channeling air through the case and a cpu cooler that came with the dual core opteron processor.

Although the cpu cooler is better than the standard ones you get in the box, it has heat pipes, I have been thinking about getting one of these

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showprodu ... subcat=821

but i have no idea if it will fit. I have a DFI LP UT NF4 ultra-d mobo and a Geforce 7800 GT which takes up a lot of room. I also may go completely insane and switch the 120mm fans for a pair of these and a controller :D

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showprodu ... =FG-003-DE

thanks in advance

I've got one, its ace, quiet, looks good, apart from the size consideration theres no reason to not get one :)

these fans are monsters, if your PC is in a diffrent room than you (ie the shed) then go for it, otherwise dont bother , theyre noisy as hell :)

Shouldnt be a problem as they are designed to fit the standard AMD fan mounting and there is plenty of room around mine. The only problem I can see is if your PSU is close to the top of your motherboard it may bump into it. My case has plenty of headroom but smaller ones may not

The space around the heat sink is what I'm worried about. And i looked on toms hardware guide for a review and in a test of ten it scored pretty high. I just don't want to buy it and find that my gfx card and RAM is in the way :?

The delta fans are a bit extreame. but if i get a fan controller i could keep them at low speeds until i wanted to play games, and then turn it up along with the sound. But then my problem is finding the right controller as I've been on the 'tinternet tofind one to do the job, and all i find are posts asking why their delta fans blew up their controller. :shock:

I had a feeling you would say that. OK, what the banana is the difference between this

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showprodu ... subcat=821

and this?

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showprodu ... subcat=821

is there any point in the more expensive one?

Get a Scythe, I've got a Zalman 9500 and apparently the 9700 isn't that much better unless your not gona bother overclocking. If you want to overclock get a Scythe for definate ^ ^;;

Scythes are cheaper, but you usually have to fit a fan, Zalman are just quiet from what I know of.
