So i got my replacement MOBO from scan, pluged in, the little light on the mobo is on, everythin looks ok, but it wont turn on, is there anything that would stop the computer from turning on?

is the cpu power plug plugged into the mainboard?

sounds stupid but i do it all the time :lol:

also your ram could stop it from booting up to.if you have 2 sticks try it with each of them on their own.

maybe the power plug for the hdd isnt in right?

it wont physically turn on, or it just won't start up??

Happened to me before when i transprted my PC to uni, i just needed to reset the bios (see mobo instructuions for where the jumper is) think the mobo battery must of disconnected on the journey somewhere

P.S. make sure you've def plugged everything in properly, especially the power button lead :wink: if litterally nothing is happening (i.e. processor fan doesn't even switch on)

OK, fixed it, the problem was that my mobo has 8 ports instaed of 4 for the P4 connection, aparently my PSU clip is facing the wrong way, at least according to the Asus book, so im now typing on my gaming PC, yay!!!

lol, its not a new system, had it months, its just the motherbord failed a couple weeks ago and i only got the replacement back from scan today, CSS tonite anyone?

I don't have Vista and I only manage to use 1.2GB RAM out of my 2GB Corsair PC26400 C4 on general use in Win XP. :D
