Ok so I'm stuck between 2 systems, both are pretty much the same. However the thing that I need advice on the the choice of processor.
So, compare them and tell me if you would swap/change anything and perhaps some £'s off those price tags. Also I am looking for this machine for gaming, and is going to be bought in August as this is going to be my Uni (studying Forensic Computing) PC.

The aim is too keep it under £600 so heres the machines with the processors listed afterwards... (all relvant data is shown, not things like network adpat etc.)

Umm you don't seem to have a case added there, so you gotta add that in, unless you have one suitable.

the sound on new mobos is really good,most do hd surround so if it were me i wouldnt buy one and put the money towards an 8800gts.

also if your not planning on going SLI you dont need an SLI board so you might get a mobo cheaper with a single pct-e slot,then the extra can go toward an 8800gts

C2D ftw, but save yourself £50 and get the 6300 instead - you can overclock it to the 6400 easy. Get a 200GB hard drive, you're more likeley to get 16mb cache that way, also go for Samsung if you can.

PSU...do I need to say it?

And don't bother with lightscribe if you can get a different one cheaper, its just summat else to break.

ive gotta nip out so i havent looked for a mobo yet.

ahhh didnt see yuo wanted vista to

spend less on the psu that will give you a bit more to play wiht.

nooonoonoonoonoonononono....PSU most important part of the PC (in terms of reliability n not blowing up and stuff)

I am intending to go SLI just not straight away, because I ll be able to get the money a few months after (unless you recoomend not doing SLI with that card...)

how much are you going to have inc the money you got now and the money your gonna have in a few months?

also if your gonna go sli i would spend at least 80 on a power supply.
