I can be typing along and then this thing pops up...really annoying as I can't continue typing...
It disapears after a few seconds but reappears when I go to type again....

its one of the best functions of firefox. especially if you want to find something on a page.

Hmmm doesn't seem like I'm hitting ctrl.....also mike clicking the X doesn't work....
I click it then when I go to type again it just pops up.......I can't get rid of it unless I close browser down and reopen.
Always happens when I go to type something like "can't" or so....somethings up with the " ' " me thinks....

Wierdly enough pressing ' brings up a thing called quick search for me.
Tools > Options > Advanced and search for text when i start typing
try that.
any help ?

yea the ' is quick search which i've never used uptill now, I don't see why general typing brings it up, you've either been; virus'd, got ya keyboard settings wrong or you've got sausage fingers..
