came to build the new cs server and well the heatsink and fan dont fit in the case
this is the case
http://www.microdirect.co.uk/(10122)Aspire-XQ-Pack-Blue-Aluminium-420W-v20-PSU.aspx
this is the heatsink
http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Componen ... ctId=20729
the problem is inside the case there is a bar that runs from one end to ther other right over the top of the cpu
anyone know any good small heatsink and fans for a E6600 ?
find on area or microdirect site plz
ill try and get some pics to illustrate it more tomorrow off a webcam

Bit of a silly place to put something like that . Try and give us a rough idea of the clearance you have.
EDIT: If you need to knock off (I think from your current heatsink dimentions) about 10cm then I'd recommend this one

Lmfao, I guess we dunno if we can trust slappy with a hacksaw, I guess there are alot of things you wouldn't wanna trust him with. Hacksaw obviously being one of them from Kaldru's statement.
