i have a logitech G5 mouse which i no longer use (only had it a few months)
as i wasnt that impressed with it, pretty useless with BF2
also it was missing that vital second thumb button

my question is................

has anyone got the razor copperhead mouse and if so, how do you rate it?

have since gone back to my trusty mx500 8)

i have the g5, my wife has the copperhead. they are quite different.

Copperhead is light, squidgy and twitchy. G5 is heavy, controlled and sure.

I think it depends on your hand size /shape - i've found the copperhead doesn't feel natural in my hand. I say g5 every time, wifey loves the copperhead - but you've already tried that so whatyagonnado :D

I don't have the copperhead but do have the diamond back. You have to alter how you might naturally hold a mouse. (I did)
It's light and responsive - to get used to this you find that you dont hold it so much as touch it with your finger tips, generaly resting most of your heel on the mat using tiny movements.
It isn't for everybody. If you try to hold it like a standard mouse you'll hurt your hand too

Flying the spreadsheet that is Eve has never been so smooth

i use a standard ms optical wired mouse its about 4-5 years old now, i wouldn't change it because I'm so accustomed to it.

i hold my mouse with my wrist on the table with my fingers arched nearer end of the button.. i.e. not resting all the way down.

i'm curious though to try a razerback/copper head mouse, i don't think the shape of the G5 is my kind of mouse.. looks too fat, i like a medium size and light weight for maneuverability / speed

the G5 is very light without its weights and its very fast, should you want it to be

but you are right, it is fat (not phat) as you can see in this picture

i actually thought i would feel comfortable with it, seeing as i've had the mx500 for 3 years now, but i dont and to be honest, i only got mx500 because at the time my brother told me it was a good mouse

SO19

I've got the g5 and I at first had trouble getting used to its design but i'm comfy with it now, only perks seem to be;

I never bother with the sensitivty thing and it now seems more of an inconvieniance when I accidently knock it down a notch or two..

Another is the middle button is hard to push down easily.

I love using my copperhead but have found it very unrelable, as in not working until it is disconnected - reconnected, I thing this just affects the early models though, sure they fixed it later. I love the thumb buttons they act almost like a three way rocker switch.
