Intel Pentium 4 - 1.5 GHz with 1GB Ram

GFX: RADEON 7000 AGP 64 MB

If not, is it the graphics card that is the limitation? how much would I have to
pay and what card would give a decent fps?
Considering the other hardware it's not the intention on buying the ultimate gfx card..

Spend about 50 quid on a 7600GS AGP, that will see you right and wont break the bank :)

hehe just joined CSS on this computer...

64 MB graphics ram = 9 fps on de_nuke
Also my ping was between 70 and 300 :o

any point upgrading the gfx card at all?
Average fps on video stress test gave me 26.
But if the CPU (P4 1.5 Ghz, said 2.1 Ghz in console in CSS) can't handle the
game, there's no point using £50 on a graphics card

any thoughts?

setting dxlevel to 81 and using that caseys config will boost ur fps loads, see how it copes with that, be interesting to see how much it improves it

It should run CS:S fine, I had a gig of RAM and an FX5900, albeit with an A64 3200+. See if you can get a faster chip for that mobo...

bah, went to a store today to have a look and chat what they had..
changing my graphics card would mean I'd have to change my PSU, then
my CPU would be too slow probably, and my harddisk would be a bottleneck..

Screw it. I'm sticking with my laptop.. just gonna tweak everything to the lowest settings
like described in that post Forcy made to steamforums.

see if I was single, I wouldn't have to justify why I need it.. lol.. stay single young lads
need new clothes, my ass
