Is this easy enough? Or should I just get the e6600 for £20-30 more.

I'm overclocked at 2.88GHz on the E6400, most people OC easily on the E6300. But the E6x20 is basically just the 4MB Cache, so not much difference tbh. The higher the E6x00 the higher the multiplier. So supposedly it would be easier yes. Other than that, it's just as easy with the E6300. :P

I got my E6400 clocked to 2.8 ghz really easy as well. To be honest though it didn't make that much of a performance improvement so I set it back to stock speed (some games really don't get along with overclocked kit). Might try it at 3.2 ghz one day, it's also quite easy to reach apparently.. :D

I noticed mine increased in performance. Things loaded faster etc.

To be honest... you only set it to a speed your comfortable with. And you only set it to speeds that will run what you need. There's no point setting your clock speed higher if you don't need it. ;)
