what was wrong with your cat? is he ok again? :)

We've no idea what was wrong with the cat, apart from lack of brains

Threw him out at 4am as he came to wake me up by howling at my door (his regular regime). Came in around 8am, and was retching. Not actually vomiting, but trying. Tried to eat, started heaving. Tried to drink - heaved up some slimey stuff (so nothing in his stomach).
Sadly it was a Sunday, so it meant emergency call out, as after tele convo with the vet, he said how without drink or food a cat will dehydrate fast as they never over-drink or anything (we never see the bugger drink at all :D).

Two days later, lots of medicine and a drip down, he comes home full of beans :D

Typical - probs ate something really bad, but with no vom coming up... no idea.

As for the academic thing - it's not academic discounts that MS do, it's different. Anyone involved in anything academic can purchase any microsoft product at a discount price as far as I am aware. This I do not pay a single cent for anything. I have my own login area, hosted on there site, which tracks what I can access, how many times I've downloaded it. I can install XP on two computers from the same download, and the same for most of the software.
Life time? Not sure, I read that basically the key is good for 3 activations, and if I require anymore - I have to contact my MSDNAA representative at University to get an extension to it.

So it's completely different from the normal one as far as I know... although I imagine Slappy/Nicey know far more about it than me :D
