Needs to be under 1.2 to keep it in the lowest insurance bracket.
Also needs to be cheap to insure, i.e something really slow and not cool.
Ideas?
What was your first car?

You have a limited choice..
Goes something like this; Ford Ka / Vauxall Corsa / Ford Fiesta / Fiat Punto (more expensive car though) / or some really cheap crap car.
I'm gonna go for the Corsa .

Currently driving a Mazda from that age range, tis newer but still 22+ years old.
Only recently had a few issues with it mis-firing, but passed MOT first time without work.
Old Jap cars = reliable. New Jap cars = reliable.
Go Japanese - least you'll still have a car to drive in 5 years Cheap on insurance too.

My first car was a Rover Metro... which is almost as old as I am.
Now have a clio which was a really bad idea as it suffers from the mysterious leaking syndrome that many clios have. (I was seduced by the really low milage for a r-reg car, 17k)
