Hi I've eventually got around to begin construction on my new pc. I've bought a EVGA 8800GTS 640MB OC Graphics crad. Now I know I need another 8800GTS to run them in SLI mode. But does the other card have to be exactly the same ie EVGA OC version ? Or would a Nvidia 8800GTS 640 for example work with my card ?

you can mix brands fine, as long as they are both the same, ie both 8800gts's
You couldnt when sli first came out, but hey soon fixed it.
My old sli rig used dual 7800gtx's, one was an asus, the other a gigabyte.and i bought them about 6 months appart
Dont forget that on most motherboards, you have the swap the little daughterboard around that is normally between the 2 cards on the mobo itself
