Hi Guys

I just bought new hardware inc mobo. I don't think I want to keep my existing Vista installation so I am planning to wipe the Hard disk and start again.

The issue is I have Vista Ultimate OEM which is already activated on my old hardware. Being OEM what are my chances of getting a successfull activation?

I have left a poll but anyone who has actually done this can leave their experiences. Please don't just guess only answer if you know.

Theres a slight chance the web activation will work, more likely you will need to ring and get a new activation code

Once you tell them you are only running it on one PC, they will tell you the number to type in. You can't however just speak to someone, you need to try and register the existing number with the telephone keys, this will fail, then you get to speak to a human..
