due to my old headset breaking, i need a new one has anyone got any suggestions budget is between 20-30 quid

I would try and get a 5.1 Dolby Digital Headset, might cost a bit more but you get full directional sound(if you have a sound card that is capable). So if someone is running up to you from behind in CoD4 you will know.

i can't really justify buying a 75 quid headset right now... >.<
so i am grabbing the Sennheiser PC 151

doesnt the 5.1 mean 5 channels + the sub? Do you have to tape that to the back of your head or something?

Cheapo Game Headsets ftw
They fix up real good with leccy tape when oyu break them

Sennheiser PC 151 Gaming Headset, got my one of these, it was a very good and i was very happy with it, very good.
It does also very gentle on the piercings lol, the mic is good and sound quality is also veyr good

They fix up real good with leccy tape when oyu break them  I've soldered mine back up TWICE now, and mine cost 5 quid. Furthermore, soundcard does the directional, not the earphones surely? Mine works great on just the headset, worked a treat on that "haircut" surround sound thing.
