Seen similar before but its still amazing, still don't know VV Cephei doesn't just collapse in on itself or something, the amount of fuel it burns per second must be huge. The Sun: 1,392,000 km VV Cephei: 2,644,800,000 km  _________________

Maybe it's going supernova  After all, don't they think that if our sun does it, it'll envelope all the closest planets in the solar system, putting suns circum at that point at 300 million km's... if it reaches earth, and muchos bigger if it gets to Mars?

The blue giants are hotter than the red ones i think. If you want extreme maybe neutron stars are the thing for you.
