Toshiba are doing good deals. They do good laptops. There 17" 399squid deal is very good apart from harddrive but you can pick a bigger one up and still have change from 650. link

http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/spec ... ml?NNB-576I have that one and I gotta say I can't fault it. But if you want Windows XP you will have to get the drivers for the north bridge chipset. I can't remember which ones it was but they'll have to be installed when you install XP by either slip-stream or floppy disk.
