I know that your all just dying to hear my dulcet tones on vent so please help me with this...
Got vent installed etc but when i push the key to talk it does a series of very fast but inpedentant key clicks instead of one continuous one....any ideas anyone?

Its the key yer using. Wut one is it?
I try to use the mouse, clicking down scroll is a good one.

nope..the crux of the problem appears to rest on the keyboard keys not staying on if you keep them pressed down. I had it working before...now it aint! grrr.
edit - johns, i usually use the ' key (a little right of 'L')

Hrm... i no that some of the F keys do what you were describin. not sure about that one though. You tryed any others?

If minimising vent to icon tray doesnt work. Try using END

I'm assumiong you already tried turning off kep clicks in vent, so its probably the windows sound thing, go to control panel and sounds, find the same sound, (think its the windows beep) and set it to none.
or simply turn off the windows sounds completly in the schemes, it wount affect gaming, music etc
