(vga) or can i run it through my gfx card? (DVI) cheers Bit of a confusing question tbh. I'd ask these questions instead Does the PS3 have any outputs that match the monitors inputs VGA or DVI? If yes then use the appropriate cable. If the monitor has VGA input use a VGA cable for example. Does the Graphics card have an input matching one of the PS3s outputs? If yes then connect the PS3 to the PC input using the appropriate cable. (s-video for example or component if you are lucky). Does the Monitor support the resolution / refressh rates supported by the PS3; 480P 60Hz, 720p 60Hz etc? If neither of these are true then you are out of luck unless someone has made a signal converter, which I would guess is unlikely. What graphics card is it btw?

you MIGHT be able to go HDMI to DVI (ps3 to screen) but i would imagine the HDCP will block that. HDCP is an encryption protocal on the HDMI to stop fiddlers trying to steal stuff.
If not the only way that springs to mind is output component from the ps3, put it through a scaler to output RGBHV (probable on 5 line RCA) and get yourself a RGBHV to VGA 15 pin. Very complicated way of doing it and the only way ull get audio is from the optical, unless the component cable you can get for a ps3 includes phono?
on the other hand there might be a fancy box that just does it all for you for a fiver in gamestation...
if u want to/have to go with the complicated route and not sure what ur looking for ill see what i can find for you

If u have a monitor thats HDCP compliant and has a dvi input then u can either buy a lead that is a HDMI into a dvi input (u can get them at pc world or amazon, loads of places really) or if u already own a HDMI cable then just buy a HDMI to DVI adapter plug, i brought the latter recently and have the ps3 hooked upto a LG TFT was £10 from pcworld As for to VGA not sure u might have to experiment or find an article on it
