Hi gents
ive procured a new computer but without a harddrive ... ive put a hard drive that i know works in ...
now for the problem
ive set it to boot from the cd rom and it does ... it then goes through all the motions format
then puts on all the files for xp and then has has to be restarted ... when it restarts it goes through the lot again and wont actually start installing xp pro ...
question
is there a dos prompt to setup or commert and how do i get to the c:
ok is it cd:D
then D:setup ?????????????

Upon booting after all the nessecary files have been copied change the boot to hdd or floppy again and it should go to the windows installation screen.  dont work :[

it automatically does it for you
you'll know when to remove the disc
