Mobile? What did she have and why does she want a new one if it's just for the basics of making/receiving calls? :D

Should be a way to lock menu's on mobiles - that way you can lock out from the menus (via an options) all the non phone stuff. Therefore, a phone with gadgets can be made into a simple phone for those adverse and easily confused by gadgets.

while that's interesting, it would mean you'd pay for features you wouldn't use, so you might as well go for a cheaper one that just hasn't got any of those things in the first place :)

and no idea about the phone, i don't really know too much about current mobiles :?

Any idea on what network? All phones in that bracket will be tied to a network to cover it's costs.

Will make searching for a phone a little easier with variations between networks, seen phones from £8!

Check out the Samsung SGH-J700

Good phone as long as you got a half decent signal.

Or try the 6300. Battery life on this one is its only downfall..
