Who's getting it?
Would rather have the pc version obviously, but for £9.99 on the ps3 it's cheap enough to have aswell in all honesty.

There is a demo to download on PSN, only lasts for 30 mins though, but it's enough to give you a taster of how console like the pc version will be when it arrives.

Got it. Its a dumbed down version of our PC version IMO. I'm not saying its not fun though...and its all I got til my PC reemerges from its box.

i dislike the ps3 controller for fps games so i'm still waiting for the pc demo for final judgement, but aye from what i saw on the ps3 version it's basically a dumbed down but graphically superior battlefield '42

If you do as I first did, thinking that speeding up sensitivity to make it more like how you'd use a mouse responds. You are wrong, turn sensitivity down and it suddenly becomes quite easy once you've sussed which way does what. Made me much better once I'd realised that.

true and practice helps as well, but in the end mouse and keyboard give me more control
not to mention mod support, it had damn well better have mod support! even if only to fix the shitty guns

Mod support is all good and well, but didn't half of the guys that made DC bugger off to work for EA and come up with BF2? DC2 ain't gonna happen, sorry.

not to mention mod support, it had damn well better have mod support! even if only to fix the shitty guns With the mouse your efforts are definitely more deliberate. You aim at a point and the mouse tunes to that point beautifully. It seems a little more aim-ish on the gamepad. COD4 overcomes this with a little snap to target action! BTW on '43 yesterday I unloaded a clip and a half at a staionary target (at a flag cap) and he/she didn't die. I was then kicked due to connection issues. Another time I was shot by a guy on left who wasn't even facing me. So there is definitely a big lag issue.

Other issues, the official PS3 mic does not work at all/properly?
Last time I checked there was little or no facts about the PC version. Even just telling us how many can play. Currently 24 on the PS3 I think.

no wonder you're having lagg issues and what not... you'r playing it on a damn PS3 you cant expect the PSN (which is free) to be good can you? PS3 is only any good for singleplayer... if you want multiplayer you need a pc, and if you really want a console, atleast get an xbox. ---------------- Now playing: Iron Maiden - The Pilgrimvia FoxyTunes
