how much better is a quad 9550 than a dual 6600...
would the upgrade be worth it......bearing in mind... its 167 for a 9550 quad...
i dont fdancy going the i7 way.... cos i dont have enough for a new mobo..memory and chip...
i dont really have enough for a 9550 ..but with some new games...( recommended quad)...how much of a selling ploy is that????? .....
so go on..what the best value cpu quad... and also... take overclocking into account if need be

the 9550 wont work in your mobo - 6600 fsb 1066 - 9550 fsb 13333 so its a mobo change

i would have said go for the Q6600... ive got that running at 3.2ghz with a 15 quid air cooler... it never goes above 50 degrees at load soo potentially be put up a lot more, i just cant be assed... it plays all current games with a 4850 512mb card with plenty of fps to spare  ---------------- Now playing: Funeral For A Friend - Hospitalityvia FoxyTunes
