i use ccleaner to remove programs etcetera, but that essentially just links to the uninstallers like the default windows one does.. if the uninstaller doesn't work anymore maybe you can try reinstalling adaware? some installers offer to repair/remove besides reinstalling if they can find an existing version of the program. apart from that i can only think of a few other things... is adaware still running while you're trying to remove it? have you tried uninstalling it in safe mode? you could delete the folders manually, but you'd still be stuck with the registry settings ... ccleaner has an option to scan the registry for faults, but i doubt it would be able to get rid of all the registry references regarding adaware.

Adaware has grown into a hog of a program TBH, installs a ton of crap in windows directory. In Norton league nowadays. 87Mb installer last time I looked. Tried Glary's or Tuneup utilities and looked at the Startup Manager?
