Hi
My daughter gave me her old ipod nano ......... can u give me an insite into itunes......
basically i have a vast amount of music thats not in itunes format but i dont want to have to change the format of all my mp3s to use the ipod ... think u get the gist of what im saying
is itnes safe or will it play haveoc with what i already have .... i have enough computers to dedicate one to music if you think that would help
in advance ...... Tar!

http://www.getsharepod.com/Don't get itunes, it's shat. Sharepod is run from your ipod, so you don't need to install anything, once you drag the .exe onto your ipods mass storage folder, you can drag music folders into sharepod to copy onto your ipod which makes it much easier.

how is itunes complicated!? millions of americans use it every day! Lemon, Itunes and your ipod will deal with your mp3's perfectly fine, there isn't really an 'itunes format', their preferred encryption method is AAC for ripping etc, but you can change this and both itunes and ipods can play normal mp3's fine  I should know I got 40gb of em lol _________________  Diablo-X =GCHQ= wrote: you need to improve your jokes, making them funny is crucial,

Just because large amounts of people use it doesn't mean it's any good! (especially Americans).
Unless itunes has changed a lot since I last used it (about a year ago), it's slow, the library management is slow and lacks basic features,drag and drop, up to date folder monitoring etc, I ended up loosing a large amount of my music when I wanted to transfer the music between pc's something to do with the ACC.
It's also stupidly large for what it is, but that's because it installs quicktime and a bunch of other pointless stuff.
