 Post subject: Graphics Drivers? Hardware?

Everytime I try to start a 3d application, it all goes tits up, black screen with sound still going for a few seconds. I'll then have to power down the pc, and try to reboot.
Most of the time with the reboot I just get a black/not quite as black flickering going on.

Is there any way of actually running a program to say if shit is borked or what?

Hopefully not a hardware issue as I seriously can't afford to replace anything, and this is all happening just in time for the BFBC2 beta, fantastic :thumbd:

You could try the restore that cow said. But if that fails have you got a spare GFX card lying around to use as a tester?
