Hmm..
Well as its beta i hope there will be some changes before its released.
Ive played the 1st one on the 360 ALOT and it was an awsome game, felt very very polished and well thought through.
BC2 seems to have strayed from that somewhat, it may just be the beta and level choice but it seems a bit....uhm....sluggish, not graphical but the controls, they dont seem very responsive.
Now this isnt down to any fps lag, im running it all on max 1680x1050 and ive tested it on low settings aswell but its still the same.
hopefully it will get fixed.
Had a pretty bad graphical issue aswell with multicoloured flickering all over the screen but this was fixed with the latest nvidia drivers, so if you havent updated yet suggest you go grab the latest ones before you play.
havent had much time in vehicles yet due to the laggy servers (im guessing due to load issues) but the tanks are very similar to the 1st one and feel pretty good.
As stated above, the servers are pretty laggy atm and alot of reports of "you were kicked fromt he server" before actually getting on the server.
Feel free to add any input.
Btw, how are we doing the names? they have the clan tag option so ive done 2, the tag option puts the =GCHQ= before the name.

Spent time as a sniper shooting the shit out of people, it's easy as pie if they're standing still, it's a bit too hectic at the moment to get a chance trying leading people.
Managed to get into a tank as the 2nd position gunner, fun a feck shooting the shit out of people without having to worry much about cover.
Get tons of points from all the kills, and more points from the odd glancing hit adding towards a kill assist.
Horrible glare all over the place makes it hard to see too.
Runs a piece of piss on my PC too, and this baby ain't new, on medium settings.
I haven't tried high settings yet.
Server browser crashes the game, so just gotta use the "play now" thing to get in.
Haven't found a lie down function yet, guess it's removed on PC too.
Which makes no sense giving the snipers gillie suits if they're fecking pointing up in the air.
Like waving a fecking furry flag.
Q to issue orders? Must be a squad leader thing, at the moment i can't request ammo or health.

They said BC 1 never had prone, so why would BC 2.
Only thing I've been able to do so far, is grab my soldiers names.

works great. looks amazing. love the sound on it. had a really good time until the ctd stuff started but its the first day of a beta so. got the play now button to work and had a couple of really good games

played this morning..... on a usa server....... which sorta spoiled the experience....
kinda noisy battlezone...... and lots........ actually...most...sniping...... so your dead before you got anywhere....
i like the rpg....
the other gun on the engineer...might as well use a pointy stick.
theres some gfx problem...(over the ocean for me).. and a bit too much glare...
might give it a miss untill the browser is fixed.. and we can play together.
funny is you glide the parachute into the trees..you get a suicide..and epic fail display...... how naff...lol

Try forcing it to DX9, some people have reported huge improvements, with high and low end systems,
Documents\BFBC2Beta\settings.ini
DxVersion=auto -> DxVersion=9

well it seems to have improved since the browser is working...and you can now select a local server......
